Technology experts will converge in Accra, Ghana to participate in the 2012 Online Conference and Fair to be held 5 April 2012.

The fair, which is the second edition, according to event organizers PopOut, aims to grow the business of technology in Ghana, Africa and beyond.

Information Communication and Technology (ICT) is a fast growing industry in Ghana with businesses having functional web presence and fledgling innovative software development companies of international repute churning out great online solutions.

It is, therefore, PopOut MD, Maximus Ametorgoh says, necessary to guide the growing industry by engaging government, stakeholders, partners and practitioners collectively to deliberate on how to push forward this frontier.

Featured guest speakers will share their expertise on carefully-selected and locally-relevant industry themes in order to keep participants abreast with current developments in the industry both locally and globally.

Popular among the speakers for the event themed “Connecting Businesses with Innovative Ideas” is Herman Chinery–Hesse, a man described by many as the Bill Gates of Africa. The tech guru who is a co-founder SoftTribe and BSL Africa, was 62nd among the 2011 top 100 global thinkers list published by the US-based Foreign Policy Magazine November 28, 2011.

Guest speaker will be Roy Singham, Founder and Chairman of UK-based ThoughtWorks Incorporated, organizers have mentioned. Singham is recognized globally as a software development innovator of change.

Others technology speakers include Kris Senanu, Managing Director of Access Kenya Group; Bright Simons, Managing Director m-Pedigree; Kofi Dadzi, Managing Director of Rancard Solutions; Eric M.K Osiakwan, Director at Internet Research Limited; Kwaku Sakyi-Addo, CEO of the Ghana Telecommunication Chamber and Kwame Bedu-Andor, Communications Manager of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC).

Award-winning technology firms NandiMobile and Leti Games will also represent.

Online 2012 will feature localized content, showcase global technologies, and engage experts in the industry.
